South Africa is a good travel destination, not only for inexperienced Africa explorers, to experience the diversity of Africa. The wildlife is well protected, primarily in the national parks, and the infrastructure is often in good condition. In the Kruger National Park there is a good chance of observing the Big Fives of Africa. The bird world is very diverse everywhere and there are many exciting and rare animals to discover. Or if whales are to be seen from the shore, South Africa is not to be missed. The southern right whales give birth to their young near the coast and can easily be observed without binoculars. Summer is less recommended for a trip, as it can get very hot and humid.
